Kestrel Creek
COUNSELING
A grounded space for restorative healing and meaningful change.

I’m a licensed professional counselor and founder of Kestrel Creek, a grounded, reflective space for adults seeking clarity, healing, and emotional steadiness during seasons of grief, trauma, relationship stress, and life transitions.
I offer compassionate, client-centered therapy where we slow down together, make sense of what feels overwhelming or stuck, and gently reconnect you with a stronger sense of self. My work is collaborative, paced for safety, and focused on meaningful, sustainable change rather than quick fixes.
Kristi's Counseling approach
My work is collaborative, trauma-informed, and deeply relational. I integrate attachment-based therapy, trauma-focused care, narrative and meaning-making approaches, Internal Family Systems (IFS), mindfulness, and principles of Interpersonal Neurobiology (IPNB) to help clients better understand the connection between their experiences, relationships, brain, body, and emotions.
Rather than focusing solely on symptom reduction, we explore your story, strengthen emotional regulation, build self-awareness, and create new patterns that support lasting change. For clients who desire it, I also offer Christian faith integration, thoughtfully incorporating biblical principles, prayer, and spiritual exploration into the counseling process while honoring each person's beliefs and values.
My Focus
I work with adults who feel overwhelmed, emotionally exhausted, disconnected, or stuck in patterns they cannot seem to change. Many clients come to therapy struggling with anxiety, depression, trauma, grief and loss, relationship difficulties, chronic stress, caregiving burdens, and major life transitions.
I have a particular passion for working with individuals impacted by early childhood trauma, complex trauma, attachment wounds, relational trauma, and adverse life experiences that continue to affect emotional well-being, relationships, self-worth, and daily functioning. Together, we explore how past experiences may be influencing present challenges and work toward greater healing, resilience, and meaningful connection.

My Communication Style
I communicate with warmth, empathy, authenticity, and clarity. I believe healing occurs within safe and supportive relationships, and I strive to create a space where clients feel seen, heard, understood, valued, and never alone in their struggles. My role is not to tell you what to do but to walk alongside you with curiosity, compassion, and respect as we explore challenges together and move toward growth and healing.
My Goals for You
Together, we work toward goals that feel meaningful and realistic. This may include improving emotional regulation, understanding relationship patterns, processing grief and trauma, strengthening boundaries, developing healthier coping strategies, increasing self-compassion, and building greater confidence and clarity in your life.
Our First Session
The first session focuses on understanding what brings you to therapy and what feels most important right now. We will explore your concerns, discuss your goals, and begin creating a path forward that feels supportive and achievable. There is no pressure to have everything figured out—we begin with curiosity, conversation, and building a foundation of trust and safety.

I am licensed to provide counseling services in Arkansas, Colorado, and Montana. I currently offer private-pay tele-health online therapy for adults, allowing clients to receive support from the comfort and privacy of their own homes. Insurance credentialing for Arkansas is currently in progress.
At Kestrel Creek, I strive to provide transparent and accessible financial information to our clients. My fee structure is designed to reflect the quality of care and expertise I offer while remaining sensitive to our clients' financial circumstance.
