About

Kristi

My professional path has been diverse and shaped by a deep commitment to understanding people in moments of stress, transition, and healing.

Before becoming a counselor, I served four years of active duty in the U.S. Coast Guard, working in law enforcement, search and rescue, emergency dispatch, and executive support roles. This foundation shaped my understanding of crisis response, resilience, and the importance of steadiness in high-stress environments.

Following my military service, I spent over two decades working across healthcare, education, crisis services, and wellness settings. My experience includes mobile crisis counseling, mental health evaluations in correctional settings, school-based counseling in rural communities, facilitating therapy groups in psychiatric care, and supporting individuals in  rehabilitation after traumatic brain injury. I have also worked in healthcare leadership and wellness-focused roles, including cardiovascular and diabetes prevention education and lifestyle and fitness coaching.

Across these roles, my focus has consistently been the same: helping people regulate, recover, and reconnect with themselves in the midst of difficulty.

I hold a Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Liberty University and am a licensed clinical professional counselor in Arkansas, Montana, and Colorado.

Today, I bring this breadth of experience into my work at Kestrel Creek, a grounded space located in Bentonville Arkansas for restorative healing and meaningful change. I support adults navigating trauma, grief, anxiety, relationship challenges, and life transitions through a compassionate, trauma-informed, and relational approach.
